4 Stars Good Puzzles, but not what I was hoping for
The quality of the questions in the book are good for middle school students. However, I was hoping to get shorter word problems. The problems in this book are set up as short stories (between one and two pages of text). The students are to read through the stories to find clues that will help solve the problems stated in each story.
This may be a very good enrichment activity, but not for students who struggle with both reading and math as it involves “too much” to come up with a solution: reading skills, comprehension, math skills, and deductive reasoning.

this booms my kids’ interests even higher on problem-solving scenarios. it leads them to think and solve problems. Good book!

Some of the activities were not clear in understanding but overall a fun and different way to understand math. This book would really benefit 6th, 7th, and 8th graders well.
5 Stars Incredibly fun math problems
I’m a private math tutor and am using this book as a Friday reward for two sixth grade girls who are studying algebra one with me. It is challenging in some interesting ways. It is full of story problems to be unraveled, about two kids who are detectives. I had given it to my daughter, who was the first year teacher and she said her kids loved it more than any other part of math. They can be solved alone or in groups. I really recommend this book.

This is a book your kids will enjoy, as far as you would ever expect your kids to enjoy a math workbook. The puzzles do build up a bit of suspense, and I like the problem solving approach. Recommended!

I had an instructional balloon animal book growing up and I wanted to buy my 11 year old niece a book & balloons for her birthday. This book has half-way decent written instructions but has lousy illustrations. He shows you how to make a few animals including a dog and then explains how to make several animals variations from the basic dog balloon shape. [...].

I bought this book because of the pictures on the cover. Turns out the animals I wanted to make were not in the book. This book didn’t help me at all.

I’ve seen this guy perform! Lon Cerel is a genius performer and has written this book with his same flair and humor. He’s in the Guinness Book for the fastest balloon-artist; this book represents training from the best possible source!

Lon Cerel is a great balloon artist and it is perfect that he has a book to help other people learn this difficult skill. I have personally received many of Lon’s creations. He is truely amazing and the book “ain’t so bad either”.

Perfect book for having fun with the kids on a rainy afternoon, or for being the hit of the kids birthday party… for that matter, it’s fun for adults, too! The kid in all of us likes ballon animals! Shows clear illustrations of HOW TO, plus a fair amount of humor to go along with! Lon Cerel is one of the top balloon animal makers in the country (as well as one of the busiest magicians) and he knows how to teach it better than anybody!

Not only did my six-year old daughter love this movie (she won’t stop watching it), but my eight-year old son enjoys it too. My daughter loves the actresses, who are very good, and now she wants to do all of the activities in the movie. I’ve started giving it out as a gift to my daughter’s friends and they all seem to love it too. Highly recommended.

1 Star Great… until it gets wet?
This product is utterly terrible. The only way to actually mold the soap or play with the tools is to make sure the soap is not in the least bit wet. Great product if you want to have your children play with the SOAP in a dry tub. But wait! That would be just like play doh then wouldn’t it? As soon as this “moldable” soap gets wet it becomes a big slimy and sticky mess. You can’t do anything other than try and scrape it off your hands, your children, the toys, and the tub. Oh yeah, and it sinks to the bottom and gets stuck - then proceeds to STAIN the tub. Okay, so being unable to bring myself to actually throw away the crappy soap I think maybe I’ll just use it. It doesn’t lather - not in the least. And did I mention that it’s slimy and sticky? All in all, it’s a terrible product. You and your children would probably be happier using Play Doh in the bathtub.

Do not waste your money on this! My kids were sooo dissappointed! As the other reviews said, the stuff gets mushy and unusable as soon as it gets wet. Not what the commercial implied!!
1 Star Soap cannot be molded-Waste of Money
The soap was so hard it could NOT be “molded” into anything. Once the soap gets wet it turns into mush. All the pieces of this ended up in the garbage. Total waste of money. I do NOT recommend this kit. I wish I had read the reviews before I made this purchase. Lesson Learned.

This was a total disappointment. It was on tv and my 5 year old daughter thought it was the cats meow. Turned out to be a gift for the garbage. It is like clay for the bath that sticks to everyhting and cleans nothing, I wish it had reviews when I bought it, cause I would not have!!!!

This soap got instantly slimy with little wet hands (too slimy to play with it or mold). Then it dried to a crisp. My son never did get to mold it into anything. This is a waste of money (but try telling that to a young child after all the hype).
